Course Overview
Behind every great Aboriginal Community Controlled health service is a team of people keeping things running smoothly – and that work matters.

The Certificate III in Business (Medical Administration) is built for people working in – or ready to step into – administrative roles within Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health services.
You’ll build the practical skills that make a real difference: client reception, medical administration, information management, and clear communication with clients and health professionals.
More than a qualification, this course reflects the real responsibilities of people who keep ACCOs running – and the Communities they serve, every day.
Who is this course deadly for?:
Graduates may move into roles across ACCOs, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health organisations and the broader health sector, including:
- Medical Administration Officer
- Medical Secretary
- Health Service Receptionist

- Clinic Support Officer
These roles are often based in ACCOs, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health organisations, community-controlled organisations, health clinics and support programs across the city, regional towns or out bush in remote areas.
